Solar Panel Cleaning in Hornchurch

Hornchurch's residential character — larger inter-war semis and detached properties with generous south-facing roof areas — makes it a strong location for solar panel installations. Many properties across RM11 and RM12 had systems fitted during the feed-in tariff period and are now old enough that regular cleaning is overdue. Panel output degrades gradually as soiling accumulates, and the process is slow enough that many homeowners don't notice the reduction until they compare generation figures.

The M25 and the Dartford Crossing are relatively close to Hornchurch, and traffic particulates from the motorway network contribute to the pollution film on south-facing panel surfaces. Bird activity is also significant — pigeons are common across the suburban roofscapes of RM11 and RM12 and their fouling is a persistent source of output loss. We clean using deionised pure water only, with no detergent that could leave residue or affect the anti-reflective coating. Our fed-pole system reaches panels on standard two-storey properties without roof access.
