A domestic jet wash removes surface loose dirt. Why Not Just Use a Domestic Jet Wash?
Domestic jet washers typically run at 100–130 bar and lack the water flow (litres per minute) to dislodge deeply embedded algae roots. They move dirt sideways rather than lifting it, and without a biocide treatment, moss and algae regrow from the spores left behind — often more aggressively than before. High pressure from a domestic machine used incorrectly on block paving will strip all the joint sand, leaving a loose, weed-prone surface.
Commercial equipment runs at higher flow rates, the operator selects the correct pressure and nozzle for each surface, and a post-wash biocide treatment is applied as standard — the combination that gives lasting results rather than a clean that fades within a few months.

Re-sand block paving after washing
Pressure washing lifts the joint sand out of block paving. Re-sanding the joints afterwards keeps blocks locked in place and slows weed regrowth.
Kill the green before it spreads
Algae and moss regrow from spores left in the surface. A post-wash treatment slows regrowth significantly, especially on shaded north-facing areas.
Not all surfaces take full pressure
Soft brick, old pointing, and some natural stone can be damaged by maximum pressure. The right nozzle and distance matter as much as the machine.
