We are clear about what our scope covers and what it doesn't — and we will always tell you honestly when a job falls outside our safe working range. We never take on notifiable electrical work, consumer unit changes, or anything requiring certification. When a job does need a registered electrician, we'll say so immediately rather than proceed and create a risk.

Landlord Electrical Compliance
Landlords in England are required to have an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) carried out by a qualified electrician every five years — this is beyond our scope, and we will always direct you to the appropriate specialist for that. However, the minor maintenance and like-for-like replacements that arise between EICR inspections — broken sockets, failed fittings, damaged switches — are well within what we handle, and keeping on top of them reduces the likelihood of issues arising at the next inspection.

Know your consumer unit
Learn which switch (RCD or breaker) covers which circuit before you ever need it — label them if they aren't already. It makes tripping faults far quicker to isolate.
A tripping circuit is telling you something
