Roof Cleaning in Aveley

Aveley has a character distinct from the larger Thurrock estates: a village centre with older housing stock including properties with clay tiles dating from the early twentieth century, surrounded by later residential development with concrete interlocking tiles. The village's proximity to the Mardyke valley and the surrounding green belt farmland means spore levels in the air are elevated relative to more built-up areas, and moss establishes particularly quickly on shaded north-facing slopes and in roof valleys where debris accumulates.

Older clay tiles in the village centre require careful treatment — high-pressure cleaning is not appropriate and risks cracking brittle tiles or stripping pointing that is already aged. Our soft-wash biocide system applies the treatment at low pressure, kills biological growth at the root and leaves a residual protection that slows re-establishment. We inspect the condition of ridges, mortar and valleys during the visit and photograph any areas of concern.
