Solar Panel Cleaning in West Thurrock

West Thurrock presents one of the most demanding soiling environments for solar panels in the Thurrock area. The combination of diesel particulate from the high-volume A282 and M25 approach roads, industrial emissions from the Lakeside basin and surrounding logistics parks, and the humid estuary air from the Thames all contribute to a multi-layer pollution film that builds up on panel surfaces significantly faster than in residential suburbs further from the river. Panels here that go uncleaned for more than a year commonly show the heavy grey-brown film characteristic of mixed traffic and industrial particulate.

Despite the challenging environment, solar generation in West Thurrock is well worth maintaining — the south-facing orientation of most roof slopes and the generally unobstructed aspect toward the Thames estuary provide good irradiation levels. Our pure water fed-pole system removes the accumulated soiling without detergent residue that would create a surface for future deposits to adhere to more readily. Frames and edges are cleaned as part of the service.
