Solar Panel Cleaning in Grays

Grays sits close to the Thames and to Tilbury Docks, and the air quality in the area reflects this industrial and port heritage. Particulates from the docks, the Thames shipping lane and the A13 corridor deposit on panel surfaces across RM16 and RM17 at a rate that noticeably affects output over a twelve-month period. This pollution film is transparent and therefore easily overlooked, but it reduces the amount of light reaching the active cell layer — measurably cutting generation.

Bird activity around the Thames is also significant in Grays. Gulls and pigeons regularly roost on south-facing roofs, and gull fouling in particular is highly acidic and damages panel surfaces if left in place for extended periods. We remove bird fouling as part of every clean using a pure water system that neutralises the deposit before any mechanical action, preventing the micro-scratches that abrasive cleaning causes to the anti-reflective coating. We cover all of Grays and the surrounding RM16–RM17 area from our nearby Tilbury base.
